Microsoft Directions EMEA | Paris 2026

Directions EMEA 2026 brought together thousands of Dynamics 365 Business Central partners in Paris for three days of presentations, networking and discussions about the future of ERP. Discover our key takeaways from the event and why 2027 could bring radical changes to Business Central, including the arrival of Copilot Cowork.

Directions EMEA 2026 – Three Days Focused on the Future of Business Central

For those who may not know, Directions EMEA is the largest event dedicated to Dynamics 365 Business Central partners. Thousands of attendees, dozens of presentations every day, and three days with Business Central at the heart of the conversation.

This year, the event took place in Paris, France, and „I attended with my colleague Daniel Dumitru. We had the opportunity to meet many partners, exchange ideas, and most importantly, take a closer look at what is coming next for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

And my main takeaway after those three days?

A lot is going to change.

Business Central in 2027: Radical Changes and Copilot Cowork

And I am not just talking about Business Central features. The way we approach implementations will change too, and, I believe, so will the way we need to think about ERP projects in general.

Partners come to Directions from across Europe and beyond, each bringing their own ideas, challenges, approaches and their own products built on the Business Central platform. That is precisely why the event is one of the best places to share experiences and hear the latest news directly from the people who implement Business Central every day, as well as the people at Microsoft who develop it.

Technology is evolving rapidly. But for me, the really interesting question is how we use technology to make implementations simpler, smarter and more valuable for clients.

And Business Central? Based on what I saw at Directions, 2027 will bring radical changes, and the Business Central SaaS will become essential to take advantage of all the new features presented.

I will not go into all the details now, but from this article there are two words I want to leave you with: Copilot Cowork.

It will be part of Business Central. We will explore what this means in practice, along with the other changes, in future blog posts.

Networking, New Experiences and Takeaways from Paris

And because three days packed with sessions and conversations deserve a party, the organizers did not disappoint. Since we were in Paris, the evening took us to a venue where we also got to enjoy a circus performance.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, it was one that was not AI-generated.

Overall, the event was very well organized, the experience was excellent and, above all, we came back to Bucharest with plenty of ideas and insights to share with our partners, clients and colleagues, as well as those who follow us here or on social media.

For me, the conclusion is not simply that Business Central is changing. The way we implement, use and talk about ERP is changing too.

And that makes the period ahead very exciting.
